crafty fox market, brixton

Friday, 2 May 2014

on sunday i met up with my friend léa at waterloo station. she came all the way from paris to spend a few days with me. i have got to say léa is a very good friend. we have known each other since high school and have managed to keep in touch regularly all this time. i had planned to go to the crafty fox market since christmas so this was the perfect occasion plus i was pretty certain léa would like it.

and it didn't fail us. the market took place on the three floors of the dogstara quirky venue in brixton buzzing with a wide variety of stalls curated by david nicholls, design editor of the telegraph magazine, and amelia gregory, writer and publisher of amelia's magazine. i was pleased to see some stalls that i discovered at the etsy + west elm pop market including jimjobartladybirdlikes, and cecily vessey, and others, totally new. it also offered a very popular screen printing workshop with mr wingate and creamed tea! i handpicked few of my favourite items, illustrators and stalls below.

favourite items:

one / danielle smith's ceramic pot heads
two / hooksmith's letterpress work
three / the food guide's seasonal fruit and vegetables tea towel

favourite illustratiors:

three / lillian nip

favourite stalls:

one / takae mizutani and sons's quirky homeware
two / hairy jane's handmade hair care
three / derek's outdoor clothing and accessories

  1. Fun! what beautiful pictures. I was there just before you took those pictures because my bag is drying on the line of screen printed items! The one with a dandelion flower...
