etsy + west elm pop-up market

Wednesday, 2 April 2014

as soon as i found out etsy and west elm were bringing a pop-up event to their tottenham court road store, i booked a day off at work and train tickets. arianna trapani and carole king from heart home magazine handpicked 13 london-based etsy sellers for the event, showcasing goods including home ware, jewellery, accessories and stationery  i know all very exciting. i had seen some videos — including this one  of previous events and just couldn't miss out.

i discovered etsy a few years ago and absolutely loved the concept. it's a unique platform, which creates a bridge between artists and customers from all around the world, allowing them to buy unique handmade goods directly from the source and to support skilled, passionate, creative people.

we stayed all afternoon filming and chatting with the sellers and the west elm's friendly staff. the store has a very homely feel to it and plenty i wish i could just put in my shopping basket. we had lots of fun taking pictures in the look look photobooth and ate the gorgeous little treats prepared from the award-winning kooky bakes. jack bought new kitchen knives and i fell for the beautiful jewellery from rachel loves bob, my favourite etsy sellers present at the event. i loved the simplicity of their designs and the material they use.

you can find a few of my favourite items from etsy here,
