a day trip to london

Thursday, 20 March 2014

a couple of weeks ago, jack joined me on a trip to london. no big deal you'd say but jack doesn't do london. so i was completely taken by surprise when he decided to join me for the day at the last minute.

i already had a schedule planned, i was going to go around islington in the morning, stop by toast and folklore, attend the etsy + west elm pop-up event in the afternoon — more to come on that soon — before heading back to waterloo station for a two-hour train journey back to bournemouth.

instead we made it a full day starting with a stop at the london eye  the views were outstanding in this glorious weather —, shopping and an unexpected half-price lunch at john salt in islington  i highly recommend their cheeseburger, the best i have had in a while. we then headed to west elm for a full afternoon filming, before meeting up with our friend dino for a beer in covent garden and going for dinner at the japanese koya in soho.

we both fell asleep in the train back, exhausted, after what felt like the perfect day trip to london.

enjoy the video and let me know what you think.

the music is by rosie may, you can find her on bandcamp, soundcloud, facebook and twitter.
